Building lasting, successful careers in pet care.
The Michelson Institute for Pet Professions (MIPP) creates equal access to pet care careers by providing skills training and job placement for individuals in underserved communities who have a passion for working with animals. Students accepted to MIPP receive a full scholarship from Michelson Found Animals (MFA) to obtain a professional certification in pet grooming and benefit from placement services upon graduation.
A CAREER IN HIGH DEMAND
Revenue for the Pet Grooming and Boarding industry has nearly doubled over the last 10 years*. Demand for pet grooming, boarding, training and walking is at an all-time high due to rising pet ownership, so it is time that this career path becomes more visible as a stable, lasting and rewarding opportunity for all those who are interested in working with animals. A pet grooming vocation can provide the independence, flexibility, and opportunity for financial growth many people look for in a career.
First Class Training
MIPP partner courses offer a Certificate of Completion in Dog Grooming to all who complete the curriculum. Classes include online and in-person components.
Students will receive all tools needed to participate, including laptops, books, and meals. Each student will also receive their own set of pet grooming tools to keep as they launch their career.
Job Placement Support
All students will have access to job skills training and placement services from Michelson Found Animals and partners. Our commitment is to successfully place each graduate in a pet grooming position.
