As of 2006, all dogs in the unincorporated areas of the County and City of Los Angeles four months of age or older (with a few exceptions) must be spayed or neutered. In Los Angeles County and its unincorporated area, they must also be microchipped.

Cats range from $45-$60 and dogs for $110-$155. If you make less than $40,000/year, fees are discounted to $35 for cats and $75-85 for dogs. These prices do include pain medication. Other optional services; additional charges and fees may apply. Spay Neuter Project LA also accepts vouchers from several programs to further lower cost – call for details.
Feral TNR cats are free Wed-Fri, $20 on Sat.
Pasadena Humane Society’s SNIP
Offers low cost spay/neuter to residents in the following cities: Pasadena, South Pasadena, Arcadia, La Canada, San Marino, Sierra Madre, Glendale, La Crescenta & Montrose. Free spay/neuter services for pit bulls/pit mixes in those cities (and residents of Altadena) are also available. Cats range from $10 - 75 and dogs from $50 - 150.
