Over 100,000 pets were euthanized in Los Angeles metro area shelters in 2010. Spay Neuter Project LA is in the trenches working hard to change this tragic reality. This organization deserves our support. Every little bit helps. There are three easy ways to donate:
1. Register to join the SNPLA Dog Pack for “Strutt Your Mutt” taking place on September 24th in Los Angeles. Just click the “join this dog pack” button on the right hand side of the page to get started. There is even a virtual option if you live outside of Los Angeles or are not available that day – just be sure to designate that you want to be part of the SNPLA pack!
2. Visit the SNPLA website and donate online
3. Send a check to SNPLA at 9325 Slauson Avenue, Pico Rivera CA, 90660

Be Prepared with a Pet Emergency Kit & Microchip

Since 2000, when the HSUS and FEMA signed an agreement giving pet owners the go-ahead to bring their four legged family members with them to disaster shelters, the world has been a better place. However, not all shelters can accept pets, so be sure to do your research now to find out where you will be able to take your WHOLE family in case of an emergency.
