What do all these friendly faces and adorable animals have in common? They were all at the Harbor Animal Care Facility on December 19, 2009. The animals were there through no fault of their own – they’d either been part of an unplanned litter, accidently gotten lost, or simply been surrendered by an owner who could no longer care for them. And the people were there to find new best friends and give them forever homes. By the end of the day over 30 cats, dogs, and rabbits, both young and old, had gone home with their new family. What made the event so successful? The warm hearts of people like you looking to do the right thing by adopting, not shopping for, a new pet. Remember, shelter pets aren’t second-class citizens – be a hero to an animal today and adopt!
