About- SEAACA provides animal control services to 13 contract cities. Animals impounded by SEAACA are kept for a minimum of four days before they are made available for adoption or are euthanized. Services - SEAACA provides microchipping for animals within its service areas at a cost of $25, and provides low-cost vaccinations at a cost of $10 for rabies, $18 for DHLPP, and $12 for a feline 3-in-1. Low-cost spay/neuter services range in price from $35 for male cats to $85+ for large dogs. The City of Santa Monica Animal Shelter is administered by the Santa Monica Police Department and serves all 88,050 residents of Santa Monica. The Animal Control Officers are responsible for all elements of animal control within the city of Santa Monica and including adoption. Services Provided: Adoption services for the public and licensing, stray animal pick-up, animal control, animal trap rentals, dead animal removal for Santa Monica residents. Adoption fees: fees range from $23.50 for cats to more than $40 for puppies under the age of six months.
