R.V.T required at High Volume Spay/Neuter Clinic
The job of the Registered Veterinary Technician (R.V.T.) includes many generalized veterinary technician duties as well as very specific duties performed by only the R.V.T. This job is highly detailed oriented as well as repetitive in nature. In this position, the R.V.T. oversees and ensures the quality of care of each patient that passes through the clinic. The R.V.T. will interact with the public on a daily basis as well as handling every patient that comes into the clinic while inducing them for surgery. This position requires the ability to multi-task specific technical duties as well
as directing staff in animal care before and after surgery. It is necessary in this position to be able to supervise, train and cross train staff members as well as volunteers. Additionally, it is essential to be able to speak knowledgeably to clients about responsible animal ownership as well as surgical procedures, vaccine protocols, other clinic protocols and animal education issues. At all times, this position requires the R.V.T. to provide quality service to clients, patients and staff and to represent this organization in a courteous and professional manner.
