Microchip Program Coordinator

The Found Animals Foundation, Inc. Found Animals is launching a new nationwide program and seeks a skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Microchip Program Coordinator. This position is responsible for coordinating and executing program related duties for our Microchip Program as well as providing general administrative support to the program. This is a full-time non-exempt position, based in Found Animals’ animal-friendly Los Angeles, California office.

Program Coordinator will be required to:

·         Perform administrative functions for the program, including coordinating meetings, answering phones, filing, and data entry.

·         Assist Division Director/Program Manager in coordinating and developing relationships with partner organizations and microchip registry stakeholders.

·         Manage telephone and email communications with shelters, veterinarian offices, pet owners and microchip manufacturers as part of the microchip registry notification process.

·         Assist Division Director/Program Manager in working with partner organizations to ensure the successful adoption of the new program, including training and ongoing support.

·         Conduct research to identify target markets for program expansion as well as track success metrics of existing markets.

·         Assist in coordinating microchip clinics.  

·         Maintains files and database systems related to program metrics, ensuring that accurate and timely information is collected and stored.

·         Prepare information for monthly, quarterly and other reports as requested

·         Provide general office support for the microchip program, including but not limited to answering phones, data entry, incoming/outgoing packages, storage inventory, scanning, copying, and running errands as needed.

The ideal candidate would meet the following requirements:

·         Bachelor’s degree preferred

·         Strong oral and written interpersonal and communications skills with demonstrated ability to interact constructively with a wide range of personalities.

·         Proficient in Microsoft software applications with strong emphasis on MS Outlook, PowerPoint, Word and Excel.

·         Experience working in a technological field with knowledge of software development preferred.

·         Familiarity with Google AdWords, SalesForce, Exact Target or other email service provider preferred.

·         Motivated self-starter with great attitude, flexibility, and entrepreneurial spirit.

·         Must be detail oriented and resourceful with excellent follow through skills.

·         Able to work under pressure to prioritize and manage workload, manage simultaneous tasks and meet deadlines within a fast paced and changing environment.

·         Ability to travel to local Found Animals functions, promotional events and meetings and take part in opportunities for professional development, as needed or required.

·         Must possess a willingness to learn and grow within the role.

·         Knowledge of animal welfare issues helpful but not required.

·         Ability to lift 20 lbs.
