Freelance Video Editor

The Found Animals® Foundation, Inc. (Found Animals®) is a Los Angeles-based 501(c)(3) with a mission to develop innovative solutions that minimize the euthanasia of pets in animal shelters. The organization is a social entrepreneurship venture committed to bringing business principles to bear in addressing animal welfare issues. Found Animals® is well-funded and managed by business and medical professionals.

Found Animals® is looking for a skilled Freelance Video Editor. Successful candidates will be strong communicators, have access to their own editing software and equipment, and have a passion for the video editing process. The editor's primary role will be to edit videos, making them ready and available for our website.

Responsibilities include:

  • Editing videos for our website and social media outlets
  • Working with our Director of Marketing to ensure that videos have a strong point of view and a unique perspective
  • Working with our Digital Media Coordinator to ensure that projects are completed within a timely manner

Basic Qualifications:

  • Freelance video editor, that can devote up to 20 hours per month to our company
  • Access to own video editing software and equipment
  • 2 years experience editing digital content
  • An online portfolio that demonstrates a excellent range of video post production skills
  • In-depth knowledge of video editing process
  • Excellent and proven range of digital video post production skills
  • Proactive problem solving, both technically and creatively, with constant attention to process improvement
  • Calm under pressure, can excel in fast-paced project timeframes, re-adjustment of priorities, and just-in-time assignments
  • Self-driven and able to easily communicate creative ideas and collaborate in a team environment
  • Productivity-focused and proven to be a quick problem solver

Compensation: $20.00 hourly, on an as needed basis.
