Experienced Vet Tech for high volume spay/neuter clinic (San Pedro/Pico Rivera/Van Nuys)

The job of the vet technician includes many generalized veterinary technician duties as well as very specific duties performed by an experienced vet tech working as a surgical technician and/or recovery technician. It is essential to be both a team player and a self starter. This job is highly detailed oriented as well as repetitive in nature. The vet technician will interact with the public on a daily basis as well as handling every patient that comes into the clinic while recovering them from surgery and/or while in surgery. It is necessary in this position to be able to supervise, train and cross train staff members as well as volunteers. Additionally, it is essential to be able to speak knowledgably to clients about responsible animal ownership as well as surgical procedures, vaccine protocols, other spay and neuter protocols and animal education issues. The technician should have the ability to lift up to forty (40) pounds, stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, stoop, and kneel. At all times, this position requires the technician to provide quality service to clients, patients and staff and to represent Clinico, inc. in a courteous and professional manner.
