Happy Mutt’s Day!
We don’t need to tell you how much we LOVE mutts! With 25% of the dogs in animal shelters being purebred these days, we still get many, many amazing mutts coming through the Adopt & Shop doors, on their journey from animal shelter to new home. We would like to highlight our very favorite mutts on this Mutt’s Day. Today is a day where we celebrate their uniqueness and we thank the adopters who also saw how special and one of a kind they are.
Butterball! We were not surprised this little Dachshund mix didn’t last the weekend before being adopted. His previous owners let him become quite the Gordito but look at those Bambi eyes…
Luke! Luke came from a litter of 7 puppies and was adopted by a bachelor who was looking for a running buddy. From what we could tell, Luke must be part boxer because of the way he liked to use his paws to play and the rest… bulldog?
Harrison! This big Lab Shepherd baby was so full of love that he wanted to share it with everyone. He loved giving people hugs and kisses, but didn’t realize how big he was so would easily knock people over with his eagerness. Look at those webbed toes..
Lianah the Yorkie Chihuahua mix was quite the diva! This dog loved it when we dressed her up. She was very sassy and would prance on her walks when she liked what she was wearing.
Dylan! This Spaniel Border Collie Mix was friendly, outgoing and playful. He was adopted by a single guy who’s dog of many years passed away. It was love at first sight with the adopter who was drawn to Dylan’s unique look and happy face.
Kirby! This little Chinese Crested Mix was in the shop for such a short period of time, I think it was less than a day or something. A teenage girl saw this Instagram picture on our Facebook page and drove from Orange County to the shop right away to meet him. By the end of the day, she and her mom had completed the adoption, it must’ve been the Mohawk…
Have you got an amazing one of a kind mutt? Share a photo on our facebook page and feel free to brag a little… Happy Mutt’s Day!
